Dirty Pillow Talk. Nobody's Perfect. Walk of Fame. The Vomiting Winter demo. Straight-Jacket Keelhauled Lyrics. Battleship Graveyard Lyrics. A Classic Case of Transference Lyrics. Single Lyrics. People and Their Lives Lyrics. Dirty Pillow Talk Lyrics. Nobody's Perfect Lyrics. Review by IsItLuck? Rank: 0 for The Fall Of Troy are lost. In The Unlikely Event is the grandest combination of illogical passages and musical unrest.

Definitely enjoyable from a single standpoint, but it repeats to no end. Meanwhile, they may not even know what they are doing certain times within In The Unlikely Event. It continues into this alternate tangential universe of guitar shredding awkwardness was the segment between really necessary? Some riffs are genuinely interesting, but within the context of the entire picture they fail to make much cohesion with prior segues.

Between reused ideas and their inability to improve in any other category makes this album is nothing short of a disappointment. It lacks any defining emotion or identity while trying to be poppy for the sake of being poppy and being technical for the fact of technicality.

At this point in their career, The Fall Of Troy need a serious reevaluation of their glaring digression. Tweet Recent reviews by this author. Glassjaw Coloring Book. No Age Everything In Between. Far At Night We Live. The guitar technicality is there, but as mentioned before, it is certainly subdued.

With a wah-tastic introductory riff that continues and provides the backbone of the song, the first track is for sure a choice cut from the album. The following track, "Straightjacket Keelhauled" is about as close as Doppelganger fans will get to nostalgia here, as the track sports some frantic guitar work, dueling scream vocals between Erak and new member Frank Ene, and a hefty solo to close things off.

A lot of people seem to think that Erak is off key here, but i actually find this track to be a personal favorite, as he mixes some screams in here and there that just work within the track. There's even a breakdown-esque guitar bridge around the mark, which is certainly interesting to hear in a FOT song. Unfortunately, after "Battleship Graveyard" the album begins lagging. The final highlight lies in "Walk of Fame", which has time signature changes and vocal delivery as spastic and unpredictable as anything else FOT has done before Album closer "Nature vs.

Nurture" is okay enough, but the laughable spoken word passage breaks up the momentum of the song and turns it into a joke. In The Unlikely Event is a worthy addition to The Fall of Troy's discography, and while it may alienate some fans, anyone willing to give it a chance could find a great album under the surface. Hangout and have a few Battleship Graveyard I've been calling you plenty of things This is how it feels when neon turns to grey I'm barely here, you're losing your touch my dear. I'll be sincere, I simply can't hide my fear Tasteless fashion following the herds You say, "Actions speak louder than words" But anyways I'm barely here, you're losing your touch my dear I'll be sincere, I simply can't hide my fear Back and forth Raise your hand.

Ask permission before you speak to the class! Twisting our bodies, to exaggerate our games And dust that decays, in this space, do you feel safe? I can't behave Take a drink and pass it my way Tell me everything is okay, lie to me, die for me tonight You're gonna get yourself in trouble baby Gonna get yourself caught up in some drama alright Cause you've been cheating and been lying honey Never thought that I could say goodbye, but maybe tonight Single Just because you went another way Doesn't mean you aren't my everything I've been thinking about you everyday Trust me Save yourself there's nothing here to hold you down In the shadow of the overpass I can see everything is a mess If you're happy honey raise your glass Throw it back, hear it snap, oh how you've You fractured my heart once again Fractured my heart once again Just because you've gone another road Doesn't mean that you don't have a home You have a piece of me to call your own You go home Save yourself there's nothing left to tell I'm blacking out your memories, I'm casting out a spell Save yourself there's nothing left to hold you down In the shadow of the overpass I can see everything is a mess If you're happy honey raise your glass And throw it back, hear it snap, oh how you've You fractured my heart once again Fractured my heart once again In your own way you have just said everything In your own way you just ran away from me 6.

I've been staying up all night to kill the day You're the one to blame It drives me insane If you're seeking closure then I can't help you babe Surprised, but I may say Today is the day I'll be knocking on the door Keeping everything alright Until the morning light Is creeping in If you want to have it You want it You got exactly what you asked for I'm waiting You have me right here where you want me You want it You got exactly what you asked for I'm waiting You have me right here where you want me Counting seconds, saving minutes, lapsing hours She is so sour I taste her disdain If you would hold me A joke can let you down The crowds would scream along "The king has been slain!

I'll be knocking on the door Keeping everything alright Until the morning light Just creeping in But if you have to have it You want it You got exactly what you asked for I'm waiting You have me right here where you want me You want it You got exactly what you asked for I'm waiting You have me right here where you want me 7. If I had one wish I wish that you get out of my life Wish that you were crushed so hard Got to find a way outta here Got to find a way out Got to find a way outta here No need to scream and shout I don't want to ever see you again I don't want to ever see you again Got to find a way outta here Got to find a way out Got to find a way outta here No need to fuck around 8.

Dirty Pillow Talk Slow down You're gonna hurt yourself, child Would things shatter like broken glass Names don't matter, not important You don't matter to me, so walk away You're not anybody, anyway I'm intentionally intoxicated Pretending nothing is real, infatuated Hit or miss, hit or miss, hit or miss it.

Get a fix, get a fix, get a fix quick Slow down You're gonna hurt yourself, child Would things shatter like broken glass Names don't matter, not important You don't matter to me, so walk away You're not anybody, anyway Pull your hair back swagger talk Get what you're asking for You did this to me You did this to me And now you feel afraid, yeah Now you feel afraid, yeah Woah Slow down You're gonna hurt yourself, child Would things shatter like broken glass Names don't matter, not important.

Nobody's Perfect If you want me, you can call me, everyday and everynight. Say you miss me, I'll stay by your side. If you need me, please believe that everything will be alright.

The Fall of Troy do a bunch of different things, most of them with reasonable competence and a strong enough individual identity to vault them a half-step ahead of the pack. The first song on this disc, "Panic Attack," is very much in the jagged post-punk spirit of At the Drive-In, including high-pitched vocals à la Cedric flakowalabemununalarmelniggbal.co that's followed by the noisy post-hardcore of 7/
