I'm quite fond of "Hoochie Coochie Man" actually. Jimi Bat , Dec 22, OneStepBeyond , Roberto and Hawklord like this. For some reason they picked the worse performances from the show some woefully out of tune A trully uninspired issue that was slightly improved since.
Jimi Hendrix left behind more unreleased material than just about any other rock artist. Some tracks have rated as all-time classics "Angel," "Izabella," "Drifting," etc. Highlights include "Beginning" which contains a riff almost identical to the Stones ' "Bitch" , "Highway Chile," and "Izabella," a track premiered on a Dick Cavett TV show a year before Hendrix 's death.
However, not all of the material is up to snuff, such as the nonsensical "Three Little Bears" and "Midnight," an overty indulgent instrumental. If you're a newcomer to Hendrix , don't start here, but if you're a serious fan searching for some interesting obscurities, War Heroes is definitely worth the price.

The audio quality is excellent. I had been looking for years for this CD. Got this for my dad as a Christmas present this year, this is the one Jimi Hendrix album he dosent have on vinyl!!
Normal wear and tear and so far no skipping on the vinyl! It's a must have for the serious Hendrix collector or even the casual listener. War Heros CD was not the one that I had ordered. Press next to discover the vigorous ''Stepping Stone''. A delight for those who have an inclination for Hendrix magic guitar play. I am one of those. It is a very wild track, that goes into lots of directions: some might call it loose but remember that several tracks were unfinished, so. There is one track written by Noel Redding ''Midnight'' which is a fine rock instrumental on the heavy edge to be honest and another one composed by Mitch Mitchell, the other ''Experience'' guy.
It is another excellent instrumental track. Full of passion and wildness. The classic ''Izabella'' has to be remembered as well, although I far much prefer the live renditions of this song. The choirs are particularly painful to be honest.
Both of these albums can be considered as compilations, but not this one IMO. But I'll discuss this sometime on the forum.Jimi Hendrix left behind more unreleased material than just about any other rock artist. Some tracks have rated as all-time classics ("Angel," "Izabella," "Drifting," etc.), while others should have remained in the vaults (such as the full-length albums Crash Landing and Voodoo Soup, two collections that were near-criminally touched up by then-Hendrix keeper Alan Douglas).
