Nos avise. Sent it back and will not be buying a third! Poor quality control. Not recommended. After watching Dave Grohl's documentary about the recording studio Sound City I wanted to get this album on vinyl. This LP was recorded they're virtually live. This album blows me away. I highly recommended it. One of the best debuts ever. I have this on CD but the remastered g vinyl far surpasses the CD in sound quality. This is a must-have. It is hard to believe this was Rage Against the Machine was ahead of their time and this album proves it.

The price was right as well. What are you waiting for? Buy this! A classic album, that seems to have better dynamics on SACD , althought it is only stereo. I realize 5. Overall, a decent albeit slight improvement over the original CD. After listening to it multiple times through, I have to say that they were right. Everything about them, from Zack De LaRocha's aggressive tonality with the lyrics to the trio of instruments working together as a layered team, is simply amazing.

Akin to some of my other reviews, there is not much I can say that has not already been said by other reviewers. I very much agree that the lyrics, while full of blunt and pure anger, are very passionate and well-written in the sense that they actually stand for something. Also, I do not tie these guys into the trend-laden nu-metal scene. RATM are their own act entirely, and they are truly original in their ways. Regarding the instumentation, I can say that the bass guitar, wielded by the mighty Tim Commerford, is the part that really stands out the most, and that is something that cannot really be said for too many other bands out there.

His licks just blow me away every single time I put this album on. What I also love about RATM is, despite the fact that they are strongly hip-hop oriented, they never make use of DJs, drum machines, turntables or any of that other computerized wankery, unlike others such as Linkin Park or Skipknot.

It is a classic, no matter which way you look at it! Crank Top Contributor: Rock Music. Absolutely amazing sound. The old master by Sony was not that bad, but this one ups the ante and Hoffman and Co. It's almost unheard of for a modern rock record to get the full dynamic treatment, but they mastered this one well.

Not only is there more dynamic range, but the record brings out the bass guitar much better than before and you can really crank this record. I could not really ask for anything more. It's not too light or dynamic for such a sound as each member has something to say here.

It's a classic record remastered about as well as anyone could hope for, and all the new details they got out of the tapes are truly worth the price here. Comes in a slipcase with the original CD and its booklet and some notes. This is not a review of the music. This is obviously a great album. I'm disappointed in the vinyl quality though. I had read somewhere that this was supposed to be one of the better mastered and pressed vinyls.

Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible but the sound is somewhat muted and there is not much of a sound stage. Lows are lackluster at best. I don't have a crazy good system but it's better than average and I certainly know what it's capable of. This pressing just doesn't satisfy. I suspect the culprit is due to compression in an effort to fit it on one lp. One person found this helpful. See all reviews from the United States. Top international reviews.
